Here’s everything you need to know about Walt Disney World’s family-friendly extravaganza.

Key Takeaways

Eerie Entertainment

Mickey and Minnie Mouse dressed in Halloween costumes pose in a cloud of purple haze in front of Cinderella's Castle lit with orange lights.

MNSSHP is loaded with exclusive shows and activities designed to put you in a frightfully festive mood.

One of the biggest celebrations, Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, is a must-see.

You’ll see a procession of your favorite Disney characters dressed in their Halloween finest. They’ll be joined by daunting villains, dancing ghosts, and appearances from other rarely seen characters.

In 2025, Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade will be held at 8:15 p.m., allowing younger guests to enjoy the celebration at a more reasonable hour.

Other not-so-scary entertainment includes The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, a bewitching show starring the Sanderson Sisters from the Disney film Hocus Pocus. Classic villains like Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent make ghoulish guest appearances.

At the end of the evening, head to Cinderella’s Castle for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.

There, Jack Skellington of The Nightmare Before Christmas hosts a stunning fireworks display, luring Mickey, Minnie, and other classic Disney characters into a haunted house.

New in 2025 will be an epic dance party inspired by the movie ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires, and a meet-and-greet with Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween attire at Town Square Theatre.

Families with little ones can also enjoy rediscovering Storybook Circus, which will be transformed into a kid-friendly happy haunt.

Stay tuned for more details about the exciting entertainment you can expect from MNSSHP.

A Sweet Way to Spend Halloween

Guests of all ages can trick-or-treat at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. You don’t even need to be in costume, though costumes make the whole evening feel more festive!

Collect your candy in the special edition keepsake bag you’ll receive when you enter Magic Kingdom with your event ticket.

You’ll soon find yourself goblin up your favorite candies like Skittles, Snickers, and M&M’s as you trick-or-treat at stations around the park.

Guests with allergies will receive a teal trick-or-treat bag and can collect teal tokens at each station to be redeemed for allergy-friendly treats at designated Allergy-Friendly Fenters.

The event is also known for its creative Halloween-themed snacks, food, and beverages.

Some of last year’s options included:

  • Minnie’s purple witch hat made from a chocolate cookie topped with buttercream, peanut butter mousse, and milk chocolate ganache.
  • A cinnamon-apple sundae consisting of dulce de leche ice cream topped with gooey caramel sauce, apple pie filling, cinnamon candies, and whipped cream.
  • The Ghoulishly Gourmet Burger that packs two all-beef patties, pepper jack and Swiss cheese, candied bacon, balsamic-glazed mushrooms, and truffle-buffalo aioli between a black bun.
  • Layered pumpkin cake with fluffy cream cheese mousse.
  • Smoky Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn French Fries, topped with fire-roasted corn, queso fresco, and fresh cilantro.
  • Sweet and spicy beignets, dusted with berries and cayenne and served with a side of chicory coffee-chocolate sauce.
  • Grilled Masa Flatbread topped with butternut squash puree, braised chicken, cilantro-pumpkin seed sauce, queso fresco, pico de gallo, and shredded lettuce.

Disney's Costume Guidelines

A great night of trick-or-treating calls for a great Halloween costume.

While little ones are always allowed to dress up at Walt Disney World, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party gives teens and adults a chance to play dress-up, too.

But before breaking out your best Jedi or princess garb, it’s important to understand Disney’s costume guidelines.

Here are a few key costume points to keep in mind at MNSSHP 2025:

  • Ensure you wear appropriate attire that doesn’t detract from the family-friendly guest experience.
  • You can dress as your favorite characters but must not impose as them (such as by posing for photos or signing autographs).
  • Costumes must be non-obstructive, non-offensive, and non-violent.
  • Costumes cannot contain weapons that resemble, or can be confused for, real weapons.
  • Costumes cannot have pointed or sharp objects that can strike other guests.
  • Layered costumes and props are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
  • Costumes must not reach or drag on the ground, and capes cannot go below the waist.
  • Themed articles of clothing are acceptable.
  • Headwear cannot cover the face, and costume masks are not allowed for guests ages 14 and older.

To go to the party, you’ll need to buy a standalone event ticket for the date of your choice.

Note: If you’re planning to spend the entire day at Magic Kingdom, you’ll still need a separate theme park ticket for admission before 4 p.m.

Ticket prices vary based on the date you select to attend.

For guests 10 and older, tickets start at $119. Youth tickets (ages 3-9) cost upward of $109. As always, Walt Disney World admission is free for children under 3.

Tickets are currently on sale and expected to sell quickly, so make your purchase soon.

Magic Kingdom will open its gates for partygoers at 4 p.m. each day.

This gives you extra time to enjoy iconic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, and It’s a Small World.

Once the party starts, most rides will stay open. Some, such as Space Mountain and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, will get a festive face-lift, thanks to lighting overlays.
