Rosen Hotel Closest to Walt Disney World

On May 15, 1987, Harris Rosen purchased Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista, then named Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. At the time he had three hotels located on International Drive. This purchase was special in that it finally put a Rosen hotel near Walt Disney World. In fact, Disney Springs (then known as Downtown Disney) was just 2 miles away. The superb location puts guests as close as possible to Disney’s theme parks and shopping at a fraction of the cost of staying at a Disney resort.

After Rosen purchased Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista, he installed a flashing billboard alongside Interstate 4 promoting the best rates in Lake Buena Vista and Orlando. This sign brought in so many guests that the 320 room hotel stayed full for the first five years under its new management. Years later the hotel grew to 640 rooms in order to accommodate more guests looking to stay at the closest Rosen Hotel to Walt Disney World.

On December 9, 2010, Rosen Hotels & Resorts renamed Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista to Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista. Success continued over the years allowing the hotel to expand. Growing demand for quality event venues in the Lake Buena Vista area inspired Rosen to expand with a new state-of-the-art meeting space, named Rosen Bella Vista. Even the hotel’s kitchen was upgraded to support onsite catering. Growth hasn’t stopped there. Throughout our years and development, an identity formed which begged the right name.

Our new name, Rosen Lake Buena Vista, which will be adopted in October 2020, reflects who we are at our core. We are part of the Rosen family. We want to proudly show we’re part of the Rosen legacy. Since opening day, we’ve been driven by the Rosen standard to offer the best quality service in the hospitality industry. As we’ve learned how to continually improve in the company we love and in the Central Florida community we also love, it made sense to honor our loyalty to our founder and our guests. We want our guests to know that they’re receiving the Rosen standard of quality when they stay with us.

Rosen’s Total Commitment

It goes without saying that a new name alone cannot address the new concerns travelers have in post-pandemic. In the expressed interest of our guests and associates safety, Rosen Hotels & Resorts has modified many cleanliness practices in line with CDC, state, and local guidelines.

Touchpoints in common areas are cleaned more frequently with hospital-grade disinfectants. After guests depart, guestrooms are cleaned with an electrostatic sprayer that delivers a highly-effective disinfectant spray to every crevice and surface in the room. The guestroom remains vacant for 24 hours as an extra precaution to allow these disinfectants ample time to work. Linens are carefully transported to and from a state-of-the-art laundry facility that combines disinfecting detergents and steam to purify linens. The laundering process is computer monitored and inspected frequently to maintain high standards of operation.

In the hotel lobby, partitions now separate guests from the front desk staff to create a safe check-in environment. When checking in, guests have the option to use a touchless mobile key to lock and unlock their guestroom. Signs reminding people of good hygiene practices such as safe coughing and sneezing etiquette, to wash hands frequently, and to observe social distancing are visible throughout the lobby area. Stickers on the floor help guests mark out six feet distance.
