No gym? No problem!
You can still get in a great workout even when there’s no gym around. All you need is your own body weight, a few staple and basic exercise moves, and a little bit of effort. Squat jumps, high knees, mountain climbers, burpees, pushups, and jumping jacks are just of few of the many things you can do to get your heart rate up while burning calories. Combine some of these exercises to create a small 10 to 15 minute-long power workout. Below is a suggestion that you can easily customize to better match your ability and needs. Again, all you need is just a little bit of effort and 15 minutes.
30 High Knees: Run in place bringing your knees up to waist level. Remember to breathe deeply.
Take a 30 second break.
25 Jumping Jacks: Clap your hands on your side and at the top as you do the jump jack.
Take a 30 second break.
5 Push-ups: Place your hands beneath your shoulders or slightly wider. Keep your body straight. Inhale and bend your elbows to bring your body down as low as you can go. Exhale as you straighten your arms.
Take a 30 second break.
20 Mountain Climbers: From the push up position, bring your right knee to your chest and put the foot down. As you return your right foot to the starting point, bring your left knee to your chest and put the foot down. It will seem as if you’re running in place, so take good, deep breaths.
Take a 30 second break.
10 Squat Jumps: Stand with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Keep your back as straight as possible as you squat down as if you were sitting in a chair. Jump up from the bottom of the squat position.
Repeat this set two to three times.
These exercises can be done in your guestroom, but of course you can take exercise outdoors to the lovely grounds at Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista. Weather permitting, enjoy the fresh air and scenery with a brisk walk around the hotel. Uniformed security guards patrol the hotel 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so you’re always protected. Stay properly hydrated when exercising indoors and especially outdoors.
