Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary
Calling all Disney fans out there, The World’s Most Magical Celebration begins October 1, 2021, as Walt Disney World Resort celebrates its 50th anniversary!
Experience classic favorites and exciting adventures across the Most Magical Place on Earth over the 18-month-long event. All four theme parks will celebrate in their own magical way including beautiful decorations and new looks for Mickey, Minnie, and friends.
Disney Enchantment
Get ready to fire up emotions regarding friendship, love, and joy as you watch a brand-new nighttime spectacular.
Disney Enchantment will have popular Disney music, amplified lighting, magnificent fireworks, and brand new projection effects that start from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park. The jaw-dropping show debuts on the opening night of the 50th anniversary.
Harmonious
This is one of the largest nighttime events ever produced for Disney proving it’s the best way to celebrate 50 years of magic from Walt Disney.
Disney sweetens the celebration by putting together showcases of Disney songs and stories that will bring people together everywhere. The event, Harmonious, will keep you in high spirits with fireworks, fountains, glamorous lighting, visual effects, and multimedia magic. The stunning visuals and enchanting music of Disney songs will make you feel like you are in a Disney movie.
Beacons of Magic
The anniversary celebration will transform theme park’s landmark icons into Beacons of Magic.
Magic Kingdom Park’s Cinderella Castle will glow with pixie dust. Epcot’s Spaceship Earth will have stardust emerge from within to symbolize beacons of possibility and optimism. Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ Hollywood Tower will sparkle with EARidescence symbolizing the golden age of imagination and adventure. Disney Fab 50 Character Collection
Walt Disney World is adding to the four theme parks 50 golden characters for guests to admire.
So far only Magic Kingdom has announced some of the characters to be immortalized in gold: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip ‘n Dale. Gilded characters at the other theme parks will be announced soon.
