Lake Buena Vista Hotel Reviews
See What Others Have Said About Their Stay
While we consider ourselves one of the best hotels in Orlando, it only matters if our guests agree. If you’re planning a visit to Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista, we invite you to see us through the eyes of your fellow travelers by reading the hotel reviews below.
Dear Mr. Rosen, if you’re reading this, I would just like to tell you that you have the most amazing staff working at this hotel. One stands out from all the rest — JILL from the restaurant. What an amazing lady. You should be so proud you have her working for you. She looked after us every morning. Nothing was too much trouble. She deserves a medal for everything she does. I can honestly say breakfast would not have been the same without her. We really enjoyed our stay. Beds were made with clean sheets every day. The room was always a pleasure to come back to when being in the busy parks all day. There’s only one thing that needs changing: the shuttle times there are not very good at all. Apart from that, it was a pleasure staying at your lovely hotel.
The hotel itself was nice, and the maid tidied up our room and gave fresh towels every day, which we appreciated. We didn’t use the pool facilities as we didn’t have time, and we visited Volcano Bay at Universal anyway, but they looked good. But what I really feel is worth a mention is the restaurant. The food was really, really good! Good selection and always something my boys (7 and 4) would eat. The Mickey waffles for breakfast in the A.M. were especially a hit with all of us. One member of staff in particular stood out to us (Jill Osborne). We nicknamed this lady our ‘holiday mom’ because she went above and beyond! She took care of us every time we were there when she was on shift. She made sure we were never out of coffee, and the kids were never out of juice. She fetched us anything we possibly needed and looked after us so well that we didn’t realize until our second or third visit to the restaurant that we could actually refill our drinks ourselves because we never needed to! She even made us Mickey waffles on our first breakfast in the restaurant and brought over a tray of syrup, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles, marshmallows, etc., despite it actually being ‘self-service.’ She cleared our dirty plates and bowls as soon as we were done, so we never had to make space on the table for fresh plates of food if we decided to have something else. The restaurant itself was always clean because she was so efficient. She went above and beyond in every single way! We loved her!
We absolutely loved our stay here. Excellent value for money in such a great location in relation to Disney parks. It’s also close to lots of different restaurants and supermarkets. The rooms were spacious and clean. They had great amenities, which allowed us to buy our own food to store in fridge and a microwave to heat/cook. Lots of parking available, and the fact that it is free for hotel guests is a brilliant value! The staff were nice and friendly. My only downside is there isn’t much shade at the pool, and as we had a toddler with us, we couldn’t stay at the pool for as long as we needed shade. But lots of beds and free towels here. It is located close to I-4, and we could hear traffic from our room, but it wasn’t disruptive and didn’t affect our stay. We are planning another family holiday to Florida and will definitely be staying here again.
We’ve stayed here multiple times, and each stay has always been great! Very friendly and helpful staff, room is always clean, and super close to Walt Disney World! Fifteen minutes to Magic Kingdom. Pools are clean. It’s our go-to hotel, and we have multiple upcoming stays booked!
First, this hotel is in an excellent location — close to many restaurants, and if you are taking public transportation, the bus stop is about 10 minutes from it. Second, the staff are super nice, helpful, and professional. Third, this balcony area is super relaxing. I spent hours here just sitting, enjoying the breeze and the calm. Mr. Rosen — thank you for offering an educator discount. I’m so glad I went to your website directly to avail myself of this. I was reading your magazine, and you give so much back to your staff and the community and it shows.
As a base for families or groups who are visiting Disney or Universal theme parks or the many other attractions in Central Florida, I would say this place is ideal. We stayed for 12 nights on a family holiday and enjoyed our time here. Excellent pool facilities, nice restaurant and bar area, and ample parking. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. They really are a credit to the hotel! Rooms, though a little old-fashioned décor wise, were clean and very comfortable (especially the beds). Our two girls really didn't want to leave! Minor issues were the noise from our A/C unit and the main road, but that really didn't impact us too much as after a day in the parks, beaches, or Kennedy Space Center in the glorious Florida sun, sleeping at night was not an issue!
Hello! Me, my mom, and my godmother stayed at Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista for 11 days through the end of April and beginning of May, and we loved the experience. The hotel rooms are nice. The beds are comfortable (just not very big). The location is amazing. You have outlets nearby, such as a Target, places to get food, and supermarkets. Also, they are 10 minutes away from Disney! However, for us, the best part of the experience was the breakfast. Jill, who works there, was amazing to everyone! She works tirelessly, is always concerned if you have enough coffee, orange juice, and French vanilla. She is such a nice person. We loved and recommend the hotel so much!
A lovely hotel for a short stay. We’d booked this hotel along with our flights so that we could have a couple of nights before our trip to Disney World. The rooms are clean and spacious, same with the bathrooms. The pool area was nice and clean, and the staff were all very friendly. A huge bonus was the breakfast included, which was very good. After reading the negative reviews about this hotel, I believe they were for things outside of the control of this hotel. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to others.
We love this hotel. As a family it feels safe, and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed here in July 2022 for two weeks and chose Rosen Inn Closest to Universal for our family holiday in 2023 — a mistake for us as we had to come back to LBV for breakfast most days as my boys love the food there!! Jill, our server, remembered us; she is amazing and such a credit to the Rosen group, always making sure we had our coffee topped off and the children had juice. She’s also full of information and such an interesting person! We are going back this July, and the thing my boys are looking forward to most is the breakfast and Jill!! Thank you Mr. Rosen for making holidays in the USA affordable, safe, and friendly! See you all soon!!!
Just returned home from a fabulous two-week break stopping by this Rosen. I honestly can’t fault it; no issues whatsoever. We had a very comfortable stay and would 100% recommend it. Many thanks to the staff who looked after us. As per the title of my review, we will definitely return.
For those looking for a hotel in Orlando with a convenient price and location but not for extreme comfort, the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista perfectly meets the task. The rooms are not super spacious but are good, with two double beds, cabinets, and a desk. Although our room is facing the I-4 highway, the insulation is good, and we do not hear noise in the morning. The location is excellent. It's really close to Disney Springs. The Vineland Outlet is just across the highway. And the Disney and Universal parks are not more than 20 minutes away by car. Check-in and check-out were very quick and convenient. The team has Brazilian employees for those who have more problems with English. Parking always has vacancies. It has a leisure area with playground and pool — the kids’ pool area was locked when we went. For emergencies when it comes to filling the frigobar, there is a merchant with fair prices (but the Walgreens near the hotel is cheaper). It also has a restaurant with price per person (my children killed the miss of white rice there), and a bar that makes sandwiches and pizzas. To eat out there are several restaurants on the street of the hotel, including an Olive Garden on the corner with the SR 535.
