Holidays at Walt Disney World
From festive lights and decorations to seasonal music and treats, there are plenty of holly-jolly events planned this holiday season to make for a truly unforgettable visit to Walt Disney World Resort. While the holidays at the parks are going to look a little different this year, there will still be plenty to enjoy. Starting earlier than usual this year, guests will be able to experience the holiday festivities at Walt Disney World theme parks in Orlando, Florida, from November 6 to December 30, 2020.
Magic Kingdom’s Magical Holiday
There is so much in store for the holidays at Magic Kingdom. Character sightings will include Mickey and his friends in festive outfits as well as elves, reindeer, and other fun holiday characters. At night, Cinderella Castle will be dressed in a Christmas sweater-inspired projection as snow falls from above. Each night ends perfectly with Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Firework Show — a holiday spectacular that you can’t miss.
Worldwide Festivities at Epcot
Holidays at Epcot are unlike any other. At Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays, guests can indulge in the holiday traditions and cuisines from the World Showcase’s eleven nations. From impressive live musical productions to tons of holiday treats, Epcot is sure to deliver a unique and unforgettable holiday experience.
Jingle All the Way to Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studio’s season’s greetings come in the form of breathtaking projection shows on Sunset Boulevard. Toy Story Land will also be getting a touch of Christmas as guests can expect to see popular characters like Woody and Rex wearing holiday accessories — providing the perfect photo op. Guests should also check out the awe-inspiring Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! show. Sure to wow any crowd, the state-of-the-art seasonal spectacular features laser lights, fireworks, and projected scenes and music from some of Disney’s animated holiday classics.
Staying Safe All Year Round
Guests at Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season should expect a fun time, and a safe time as well. To maintain social distancing efforts, park capacity is reduced, so all guests are required to make a reservation in advance. Guests will be required to participate in a temperature screening prior to entry, and facial coverings must always be worn by guests age two and up. Furthermore, some attractions have been temporarily adjusted to ensure the health of all guests and employees. For example, character meet-and-greets are currently paused. Instead, all character sightings will be socially distant.
