Experience the Magic of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
There’s something special about going to Walt Disney World during the holidays.
While the magic of Disney is alive year-round, it magnifies as each park fills with Yuletide cheer. The best way for guests to get into the holiday spirit is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP). During the after-hours event, Magic Kingdom transforms into a winter wonderland, full of merry music and décor.
After being canceled in 2020 and scaled back in 2021, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is back in full festive force for 2022.
The event will take place on select nights between November 8 and December 22, 2022. Here’s what you’ll find at Orlando’s most magical Christmas party.
Enchanted Entertainment
During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Magic Kingdom gets a little hollier and jollier. Wreaths and twinkling lights add festive flair across the park. Orlando usually sees nighttime temperatures in the 50s in December, but you just might see flurries softly floating down Main Street U.S.A.
As you take in the sights, enjoy exclusive holiday events, including:
Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
Line the streets as a cheerful cavalcade of beloved Disney characters float down Main Street in this grand holiday parade.
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
Delightful fun awaits guests at this jolly holiday party hosted by the main mouse in front of Cinderella’s Castle.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show
Choreographed bursts of light illuminate the sky and sizzle overhead as holiday tunes echo throughout the park.
Exclusive Holiday Meet-and-Greets
Guests can grab photos and autographs from festive characters such as Scrooge McDuck from Mickey’s Christmas Carol and Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Rockin’ Rides
Many of Magic Kingdom’s most beloved rides will stay open during MVMCP.
The event is the perfect time to enjoy shorter waits at attractions like Peter Pan’s Flight, Haunted Mansion, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Some rides, like Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Tomorrowland Speedway, will be decked out in holiday lights and décor. Jungle Cruise takes its Christmas overlay a step further. During the “Jingle Cruise,” you’ll explore the world’s rivers on a boat with a name like “Candy Cane Connie” or “Sleigh Ride Sadie.”
And, of course, your Jingle Cruise Skipper will serve up a healthy dose of holiday humor.
Festive Food and Merry Merch
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is full of sweet freebies.
There will be stations throughout Magic Kingdom with free cookies, hot cocoa, and cider. You can also buy limited edition snacks, which in previous years included gingerbread soft serve and red velvet Mickey waffles.
While attending MVMCP, you can also shop for limited-edition souvenirs like tree ornaments and holiday pins.
But even if you don’t buy anything, you won’t leave empty-handed. As part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, all party guests will receive a seasonal keepsake.
