Disney Soccer Showcase Qualifier at ESPN Wide World of Sports
The Disney Soccer Showcase Qualifier is back again this year for another exciting tournament for 11–19 year-old soccer stars. The September-scheduled event offers players a once in a lifetime opportunity to be automatically selected for the Disney Boys Soccer Showcase and Disney Girls Soccer Showcase. 
Dates and Eligibility
The Disney Soccer Showcase Qualifier is scheduled to take place from Saturday, September 5, to Monday, September 7, 2020. The deadline to register for the qualifier is Wednesday, July 25. There are two age divisions for the event, U11-U14 and U15-U19. The qualifier is an FYSA-sanctioned tournament and open to all USSF/FIFA affiliated organizations for both boys and girls in the U11-U14 and U15-U19 age groups.
After July 25, the Disney Soccer Selection Committee will review all applications and notify teams of their status starting on August 3. For player eligibility, ages are based on USYSA guidelines for 2020/2021 birth year and seasons, meaning players age 11-19 may participate. This event is open to state cup or higher-level teams.
Qualifying and Open Divisions
There are two divisions for this event: Qualifying Division and Open Division. The competition level for the Qualifying Division is high and the champions of this division will earn automatic selection into Disney Boys Soccer Showcase in December 2020 and Disney Girls Soccer Showcase in January 2021. The Open Division has a moderate to high competition level and will be seeded according to competitive level. Teams competing in this division will play balanced competition, are guaranteed three games, and have the opportunity to advance into the semi-finals. The Open Division is not associated with automatic qualification into the Showcase.
