Discover Seuss Landing™ at Universal’s Islands of Adventure™
Islands of Adventure is divided into several distinct ports of call. Each one has its own theme and attractions. But while most people are racing headlong towards Hogsmeade or to the Incredible Hulk, some of us walk through the Port of Entry and take a turn to the right for the brightly colored beacon that is Seuss Landing.
At a glance, this section of the park is probably the most colorful and most whimsical. Its lack of straight lines, toggled and curled signage, and Seussean creatures are straight from the pages of Dr. Seuss’s classic children’s books. If you’re visiting Seuss Landing for the first time, there’s a lot to see.
According to the lore, Seuss Landing’s construction crew broke ground right where the two Zax from Seuss’s “The Zax” have been locked in an unending stand-off for many, many years—in fact you can still see them today standing in the same spot, unwilling to get out of the other Zax’s way. Characters from the world created by Dr. Seuss can be found at every turn including Thing One and Thing Two, the Cat in the Hat, and even The Grinch. Follow the foot prints left behind by the Zax and discover hidden gems throughout the land including Dr. Seuss himself who makes an appearance on Mulberry Street.
This highly themed land features four rides based off of the classic books. Enjoy lunch at the Circus McGurkus Café or cool off with frozen treats from the Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop. Other stories brought to life include If I Ran the Zoo and our favorite, The Lorax.
Whether you’re a group of adults or a family traveling with children, there’s something in Seuss Landing for everyone to enjoy. Relive some of your childhood classics or let your young ones experience these tales for the first time in vivid reality. Either way, you don’t want to pass up a whimsical trip to Seuss Landing.
