History and Background
Orlando City formed in 2010 and joined the USL Pro League. Signing Orlando Health as the jersey sponsor fueled the team’s success and gave the team strong ties to the community. After a couple years of success at the USL level, including their famous 2013 USL PRO Championship game, Orlando City stepped up to the big leagues in 2015 when they joined the MLS. With the help of a strong fan base, grass roots efforts, and private funding, the Orlando City Soccer stadium was officially open on March 5, 2017. It is widely regarded as one of the nicest soccer-specific stadiums in the country.

Up to this point at the end of May, OCSC has had a slow start to the season. Currently in 10th place out of 12 in the Eastern Conference, they are sitting on 15 points in 14 games played, but fans are looking forward to the team making a big comeback over the summer. Although there are no home games in June, there are plenty more to come in July and August. Orlando City’s next home game will be on July 3 against the Philadelphia Union.
