A Fun Expo Built by Moms for Families and Kids
The Central Florida Kids & Family Expo, created in 2014 by two Orlando moms, has become a popular event connecting families with local businesses and organizations to provide a weekend of entertaining, hands-on activities. The expo draws over 150 exhibitors featuring interactive exhibits, games, and shows for the whole family. This year’s event takes place at the Orange County Convention Center on August 17-18, offering a perfect alternative to a day out in the heat.
Family-Friendly Fun
With so many activities to choose from, you and your kids are bound to find something you’ll love at the Central Florida Kids & Family Expo. Here’s a peek at a few of the activities included with admission:
- Character meet and greets
- Touch-a-Truck
- Laser tag
- Puppet shows
- Animal encounters
- Live performances
- Arts and crafts
- Food samples
- Raffles
What to Bring
The Orange County Convention Center, the 2nd largest convention center in the United States, has plenty of space for fun but there will also be lots of walking required. Before you head over to the expo, make sure you’ve packed everything you and your crew need. We recommend bringing the following:
- Strollers
- Comfortable, closed-toe shoes
- Water and snacks
- Cash for extra activity tickets and food
- Tote bag for freebies and giveaways
The Central Florida Kids & Family Expo aims to be as family-friendly as possible. For your convenience, changing stations have been installed in convention center bathrooms. This year the expo also offers a nursing station in the exhibit area. Check their website for more information as the event approaches.
